Hi, I’m Veronica Thomas

My name is,  Veronica Thomas I am a dedicated mental health professional with a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Applied Clinical Psychology and approximately five years of experience in the mental health sector. After relocating to Nevada in March 2025, I began navigating the state’s licensure pathway, which requires supervised practice at the master’s level despite holding a doctoral degree.

Throughout a career that represents a second professional chapter, I have worked across diverse therapeutic settings, providing counseling and support to individuals at all life stages—including youth, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations in nursing home environments. I am skilled in facilitating family and group counseling sessions and delivering comprehensive community mental health services.

With proficiency in a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I have supported clients with a variety of diagnoses, such as ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), neurodivergence, Bipolar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder.

In addition to clinical expertise,  I  adept with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Ensora and other behavioral health software platforms.  I have a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification in Oregon and a Mental Health Associate License in Washington State.

Known for a mature perspective and extensive life experience,  I am committed to client well-being and eager to contribute meaningfully to the mental health field in Nevada.
